About Tales From The Skies

This Is Me

Thought I signed up to pour tea and smile at 36,000 feet.
Somehow ended up writing feelings on napkins
and having existential crises in crew bunks.

I’ve written between turbulence and tray service,
between faking a smile and feeling too much.
Burnt coffee in hand, dreams half-asleep,
I’ve typed notes in my head while pretending to listen to the safety demo
(for the thousandth time).

What started as layover loneliness turned into this—
a habit of bleeding thoughts into words,
of turning delayed flights into metaphors,
and awkward goodbyes into poetry.

You won’t find glossy travel hacks or filtered sunset shots here.
You’ll find jump seat confessions,
sky-high breakdowns,
and the occasional joke to stop me from crying.

This isn’t polished. This isn’t planned.
This is me. somewhere between the seatbelt sign
and whatever comes after landing.
